The Band Programs at Chantilly High School
Chantilly
High School offers a selection of musical programs to challenge your
student throughout their high school career.
These programs often serve as the basis for a career in the fine arts,
and just as often, serve as "key" courses or events in high school
that your student will recall in their future years.
CHS
has over 850 students in its fine arts program encompassing band, choral, drama,
and orchestra. Each program
provides a level of challenge that will serve to enhance each student's high
school experience, as well as provide a mechanism to meet other people and
establish friendships.>
Regardless
of the program in which you choose to participate, you will find that it always
achieves top awards, and fosters a keen spirit of both competition and teamwork.
CHS has been selected as a "1999 GRAMMY Signature School" by
the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).

Chantilly
High Band was recognized as a Virginia Honors Band for 1999-2000, 2000-2001
and 2001-2002
after obtaining superior
ratings in both its Marching Band and Symphonic Winds programs, during state and
district festivals, respectively.
CHS
BAND programs are geared to work with the students... helping them to become an
integral part of the CHS school environment.
The goal of the CHS band is to meet students at a comfortable level, and
to challenge them to progress... both
on their instrument and in their role with various bands or ensembles.
There are a wide
variety of programs, many of which are part of the daily class routine.
Other band programs are not part of the curriculum, but are conducted
after-school. Yet, the
dedication is just as strong… and the shows are equally impressive.
